When "Odyssey" launches in April on NBC, Anna Friel is returning to TV in a very different role from her "Pushing Daisies" character. In fact, when asked how "Odyssey" character, Odelle, is different from Chuck, Friel tells a group of reporters at the 2015 winter TV press tour that the better question is "How are they similar?"
"[On 'Pushing Daisies'], every single character had its own task, and with Chuck it was that she was always happy, everything was positive," says Friel. "['Odyssey'] is the other end of the scale. ... [Odelle] is completely different. She's a soldier, she's a very, very strong woman, and Chuck was a very beautiful girl."
Friel says that taking on such a different role is what keeps her from being pigeon-holed as an actress, which she feels helps an actor's longevity. But she says she's completely open to revisiting "Pushing Daisies" if they can make it work.
"[Creator] Bryan Fuller always talks about [a 'Pushing Daisies' reunion]," says Friel. "I saw Lee [Pace] recently (о, да, мы все помним! Аня, спасибо за фотку, порадовала :р), which was just lovely. I miss him so much. And Bryan is such a doll ... I'd like to see that come together, whether as a Broadway show or we just have some kind of get-together and you get to see us kiss. I'd get to kiss Lee Pace!"
Кстати, когда там Урбан выходит?
