The Hundred-Foot Journey’s Manish Dayal has landed a recurring spot on the upcoming third season of AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire.
As THR first reported, the actor will play Ryan Ray, a brilliant and genuine young coder at Mutiny, a first-generation American born and raised in California, where the new episodes will take place.
Despite his obvious talent, he has a hard time reading social cues and articulating his thoughts which can sometimes cause unintended offense. Awkward but brimming with ideas, he grows increasingly frustrated when these ideas seem to land on deaf ears, which may lead him to seek work elsewhere.

The X-Files’ Annabeth Gish has joined the upcoming third season of AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire.
The actress will play Diane Gould, a successful venture capitalist and divorced mother of two who is considering an investment in Mutiny. A straight shooter, she tells it like it is, whether the issue is business or personal.
